Monthly Activities- November 2022

“On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, we will remember them.”

On November 11th Conestoga Lodge will be taking a moment of silence at 11:00 to remember those who have lost their lives, and those who were injured in the war. We will pay respect to our residents who are veterans of the second world war, and to those who are no longer with us. There will be a Remembrance Day program in the afternoon. Poppies will be for sale in the front lobby.

There will be plenty of musical entertainment in the month of November! Gary Munn, Sheryl Walsh, Paul Schalm, and Jay Franco will be in to entertain for all of our musical residents. We look forward to singing away the afternoons!

Speaking of singing, Conestoga Lodge will be starting our Christmas choir on November 29th! We will be having weekly practices to prepare for our resident Christmas party performance in December.

For our nature lovers, Conestoga Lodge will be having a Snake and Nature Show hosted by Brian Krigner. There will be no real snakes at the show, however residents will be able to see some rather large snake skins! Join us in the dining room at 2:15 to see an abundance of snakes in their natural habitats.

Exercises will take place four times a week in the Activity room. Church services, knitting, cards and games, crafts, Travelogues, Trivia, Giant Crossword puzzles, coffee hours will continue weekly throughout November.

There will be two shopping trips to Stanley Park Mall and Giant Tiger on Monday afternoons. Our monthly lunch bunch will be headed to Fireside Grill. See the calendar for the dates and details! Don’t forget to sign your name in the green binder by the front desk if you would like to attend.

The Waterloo County Shrine club will be selling holiday goodies! They sell fruit cakes, shortbread, Christmas pudding and more! Orders can be placed until November 14th.

We hope everyone has a wonderful month!
