March Activities 2023

It is almost that time of year when we dress up in our favorite green and dance a little jig and enjoy some cheer! Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held on Thursday March 16th at 2:15pm in the dining room. We will be entertained by Paul Schalm. Bill Speer will also be in to entertain on March 15th with some Irish Music.

On St. Patrick’s Day, we will be making Shamrock Sundays! These green treats will have a base of lime sherbet with some gold and rainbow sprinkles! There will also be caramel sauce to represent the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Make your way to the 3rd floor Café at 1:15 to make your very own shamrock Sunday! There will also be special St. Patrick’s treats coming around for all to enjoy!

We would like to Welcome Miranda to the Activity Department! Miranda has worked in recreation at retirement and long-term care residences for over 13 years! She will be working with Carling for the month of March before Carling is off on maternity leave. Don’t hesitate to stop by the Activity office to introduce yourself.

Carling would like to wish all the wonderful residents well as she starts her maternity leave in April! She will miss all of you dearly and looks forward to coming in for a visit with the new baby. There will be afternoon tea and baby shower on March 9th for all who would like to attend. Cake and refreshments will be served!

Don’t forget to Spring Forward this month with your clocks; that’s right we will all be losing an hour of sleep. The clocks move forward one hour on Sunday March 12th.This means that the days are getting longer and we will have some beautiful Spring days ahead!
