Are you a discharge planner or social worker?
At Conestoga Lodge, we offer two-week to one-month respite stays for those who need it. To ensure our team knows the level of care needed, we visit and assess our potential residents and assess their care needs. The cost of our respite program starts at $125/ day. We attempt to be flexible with timing and attempt to accommodate quickly subject to an assessment first.
Are you caring for a loved one you are in need of a "caregiver break"?
We understand the importance of taking a break and ensuring your loved one receives compassionate, professional care in a safe environment while you recharge your own battery. Our respite/trial stay program offers two weeks to one-month stays, allowing caregivers peace of mind while their loved one is supported by our dedicated team. Rates start at $125/day, subject to assessment and are based on care level needs.

In Kitchener, Ontario, seniors can access government-funded physiotherapy services through the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) if they meet specific eligibility requirements. OHIP covers physiotherapy for those aged 65 and older, individuals of any age who have had an overnight hospital stay or day surgery within the past year, and recipients of Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program. These services focus on treating conditions related to surgery, falls, or chronic injuries.
Local options for publicly funded physiotherapy include clinics in the Waterloo-Wellington area, which offer both in-clinic and virtual sessions depending on the individual's needs. For seniors unable to travel, in-home physiotherapy may also be available via Ontario Health programs, though a doctor’s referral is typically required for these services. Seniors have access to as many sessions as necessary to address their conditions and recovery goals, as there is no session limit under OHIP.
For specific clinics or more information, you can explore listings on local health resources, such as Waterloo Wellington Healthline, or contact the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to find registered providers nearby
