Weekly Activities Monday February 19th to Friday February 23rd

Monday February 19th- Today we will start the day off with fresh muffins followed by our weekly movie. If you would like to sign up to go shopping please sign up in the green binder by the front desk.

Tuesday February 20th- Today we will be heading to Lancaster smoke house for some delicious smoked foods and some legendary onion rings. If you would like to join us for the trip please sign up in the binder. When we return we will be celebrating the February birthdays in the dining room with musical entertainment by Keith Tobey.

Wednesday February 21st- Come to the 3rd floor café at 9:30 for some delicious scones and some word search races! In the afternoon we will have a knitting group followed by Tea and Tales at  7:00 pm.

Thursday February 22nd- Every month the Kitchener Public Library comes in for a visit. If you are looking for a new book to read please come to the 3rd floor café at 1:30. At 2:00 we will jam with Greg on the guitar in the dining room.

Friday February 23rd- Every Friday morning we get together as a group to read the newspaper and have timbits and coffee . In the afternoon we will have music with Paul Schalm followed by dog visits.

Weekly Activities Monday February 12th to Friday February 17th

Monday February 12th- Join us in the third floor café for a freshly baked muffin. In the afternoon we will be having a movie followed by a strategic game of euchre!

Tuesday February 13th- Today we will be bringing in a Chinese food lunch for all that would like to participate! See the green binder at the front desk to sign up and see the menu.

Wednesday February 14th- Happy Valentine’s Day! Meet in the 3rd floor Café at 1:30 to sing some love songs with Peter French.

Thursday February 15th- at 9:30 the travelling tuck cart will make its way around to every room. At 10:30 St. Joseph’s will be in for a catholic church service. In the afternoon Paul Schalm will be in to play some beautiful melodies on the piano!

Friday February 16th- This afternoon will be full of activities for all to enjoy. We will be having smart exercises followed by a choice of Wii bowling or carpet darts to get the afternoon going.

Monday February 5th- Join us in the third floor café to enjoy a fresh muffin at 9:30! If you love playing euchre meet in the 3rd floor café at 1:30.

Tuesday February 6th- Start the morning off right with a game of giant crosswords. In the afternoon we will have a Chinese new year activity to celebrate the year of the dog.

Wednesday February 7th- With the Olympics coming up we thought we should do a Travelogue to where they are being held ! Come up to the 3rd floor café to learn about the culture of South Korea.

Thursday  February 8th – Join us for our own Conestoga Lodge Olympics! There will be lots of minute to win it games and prizes to be won!

Friday February 9th- Come to the third floor café to read an discuss the news with us! In the afternoon we will have exercise class  followed by visits from our furry friend!

Monday January 29th- please join us at 9:30 in the 3rd floor café for some freshly baked muffins! In the afternoon we will enjoy a movie or sign up to go to Stanley Park Mall.

Tuesday January 30th- Today we will be heading to Fireside Grill for our monthly lunch bunch! Sign up in the green binder if you would like to attend and don’t forget your appetite.

Wednesday January 31- Let your voices be heard! The resident forum meeting will be at 3:00 in the 3rd floor café with any questions or comments you might have.

Thursday February 1st- This morning we will have our smart exercise class in the morning followed by a game of carpet darts in the afternoon! Meet in the 1st floor activity room at 2:00 to win some awesome prizes!

Friday February 2nd- Every Friday morning we enjoy coffee, tidbits, and discuss the news! Come to the 3rd floor café at 9:15 to  read with us!

Monday January 22nd- Today we will be having an afternoon of movies and trivia! Join us in the third floor café.

Tuesday January 23rd- Come and celebrate our January Birthdays! Meet in the dining room at two o’clock to celebrate the residents who were born in the first month of the year.

Wednesday January 24th- Today we will have some special exotic visitors! Join us in the first floor activity room to interact with some wild animals!

Thursday January 25th- I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Join us in the afternoon in the 3rd floor café to make and eat home made ice cream!

Friday January 26th- Today we will start off with our daily newspaper reading followed by a  fun game of scrabble!

Weekly Activities: Monday January 15th – Friday January 19th

Monday January 15th- Today we will enjoy a muffin in the third floor café. Feel free to stay and chat or enjoy a cup of coffee. For those who are staying in, we will be playing a movie at 1:00 in the 3rd floor café! We will also be making two trips to Walmart sunrise center at 1:15 and 1:45.

Tuesday January 16th- Today Anne Marie will be in for a multi- faith church service starting at 10:30 in the 1st floor chapel. In  the afternoon we will be having a “make your own oatmeal” activity in the 3rd floor café, and there will be lots of fun toppings to try out! at 3:00 we will be having a game of carpet darts in the 1st floor activity room.

Wednesday January 17th- Today we will start out with our weekly word search races and scones in the 3rd floor café! We will knit the afternoon away followed by our resident food meeting. All questions and comments are welcome.

Thursday January 18th- This morning we will have our surprise drink of the week in the 3rd floor Café. 2 hands clay will be coming in to make an exciting craft out of clay! Sign up sheets are in the green binder by the front desk.

Friday January 19th- It’s time again for our weekly newspaper reading and discussion! Join us in the 3rd floor café at 9:30! In the afternoon we will be playing a game of Euchre followed by smart exercises and visits from our furry friends!

Monday January 8th- Please join us in the Café to enjoy a raisin bran muffin. Smart exercises will take place at 10:30 in the 1st floor activity room followed by an afternoon of carpet darts in the 1st floor activity room.

Tuesday January 9th- This morning we will have fresh cookies over a game of giant crosswords. In the afternoon we will have our order in pizza lunch followed by a wheel of fortune game.

Wednesday January 10th- Meet at 9:30 in the third floor café for some word search races. Ken Lukas will be in at 10:30 for a church service followed by sit N knit in the afternoon.

Thursday January 11th- Please help yourself to a cup of warm tea in the third floor café! the travelling tuck cart will be coming around all floors. In the afternoon Paul Shalm will be in to play some beautiful melodies on the piano.

Friday January 12th- Please join us in the 3rd floor café for our weekly newspaper reading and discussion. In the afternoon we will have a game of scrabble, followed by exercises and our weekly dog visits!

Weekly Activities: Sunday December 31st to Friday January 5th

Sunday December 31- Happy new year! Please join Bridgette in the 3rd floor Café for a new years eve party at 6:30 pm.

Monday January 1st- Happy New Year everyone! Hope you have a wonderful start to 2018.

Tuesday January 2nd – Come to the 3rd floor Café at 9:30 for a fresh baked cookie! We will be playing giant crosswords followed by smart exercises in the 1st floor activity room. In the afternoon we will be having a sing-a-long on the piano with Helen Stephens in the dining room. In the evening our favorite golden retrievers will be in for a visit!

Wednesday January 3rd – Please join us for word search races in the third floor café at 9:30. Calvin Presbyterian will be in for a church service at 10:30. We will spend the afternoon knitting our troubles away! In the evening Ruth will be in for tea and tales! Meet in the 3rd floor café at 7:00pm.

Thursday January 4th – Our weekly tuck-shop will be coming door to door selling toiletries and treats! we will be serving our drink of the week in the 3rd floor Café. In the afternoon we will be making a special chocolate surprise in chocolate therapy. Join Ryan in the 1st floor activity room for a game of bingo!

Friday January 5th- Please join us for the weekly reading of the newspaper followed by St. Joseph’s Catholic church service. In the afternoon I invite you for a game of Euchre or Wii bowling. Smart exercises will be held in the 1st floor activity room at 2:15.

Monday December 25th- Merry Christmas everyone! Wishing you a safe and happy Christmas this year.

Tuesday December 26th – Boxing day

Wednesday December 27th- Today we will having morning word search races in the 3rd floor Café followed by a Church Service by St. Andrews church. In the afternoon we will be knitting followed by a game of carpet darts!

Thursday December 28th- This morning we will be coming by with our travelling tuck cart! We sell everything from toiletries to chocolate bars! In the afternoon we will be having our Travelogue on the North Pole, followed by bingo, and an evening performance by the very talented Bluegrass Café!

Friday December 29th- We will start the day with reading the newspaper over a cup of coffee and some donuts. In the afternoon we will be playing Euchre and scrabble followed by some visits from some furry friends!

Monday December 18th- Come join us in the 3rd floor Café to enjoy a fresh muffin! This afternoon will be our last shopping trip to Stanley Park Mall before the holidays!

Tuesday December 19th- Today we will be having a Multi Faith church service at 9:30 with Anne Marie! In the afternoon Michael Toby will be here to sing some hymn songs with us.

Wednesday December 20th- Today is Pajama day! Sport your favorite pair of jammies all day as we celebrate our December birthdays in the dining room at 2:00! Kim Atkins will be in for some musical entertainment.

Thursday December 21st- Time for our monthly lunch bunch to Swiss Chalet! There are deals for holiday feasts in December! Sign up sheets will be in the green binder in the front lobby.

Friday December 22nd – Friday we have our Tim Horton’s coffee and our Roman Catholic Church Service. In the afternoon we will enjoy a Christmas movie called “The Polar Bear Express.” In the evening we will be having our annual Girlfriends show with music from the 40’s 50’s and 60’s!
